Terre De La Custodia’s “Exubera” wine wins award

15 September 2015 GERMANIA

Sagrantino di Montefalco “Exubera” (2004) produced by Terre De La Custodia has been ranked as the top Sagrantino wine by the German wine expert Marcus Hofschuster. “Exubera” was given 92/100 rating and, together with another wine, is considered the best Sagrantino produced in recent years.

The reviewer tracked the distinctive traits of Sagrantino di Montefalco on the reliable wine review website Wein-Plus.de.

Sagrantino is a strong wine, having both the tannin of Barolo and the density of Amarone whilst maintaining its own strong personality and aroma.

Thanks to its high percentage of natural acids, Sagrantino is also able to keep a light taste despite its high proof. This combination makes it a polished wine, both full-bodied and gentle.
