If the main vine is definitely Sagrantino, the DOCG also has very high expressions of Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino and international grapes that find their ideal location here.
THE KING IN MONTEFALCO
Sagrantino
FROM ANCIENT GREECE
Grechetto
Spread throughout central Italy, capable of excellent results in many contexts, it contributes to the blend of Montefalco Rosso as well as other great Umbrian wines. Broad bouquet from fruity to spicy, structure and tannins consistent and rich in character.
From Abruzzo, it is traditionally found in the blend of Montefalco Rosso. An intense minerality and enveloping fruity aromas that leave room, little by little, for a composed and balanced spice.
An ancient vine that surprises for its modernity. Historically used as a blended wine, a new glory now lives: it is vinified alone, achieving exceptional results. Its characteristic acidity is combined with an unexpected complexity in a wine never banal.
Great elegance and marked minerality for an international vine that in Umbria guarantees excellent results. On clay-calcareous soils it gives rise to structured and refined wines.
A millenary wine, imported from France to Italy in 1800 but now also characterizing our peninsula. A wide floral and fruity bouquet and a great versatility of vinification and use make it irreplaceable. The Umbrian hilly environment enhances its delicate mineral notes.
